Proposing to your Bridesmaids/Groomsmen
First off, if you are looking for ideas on how to ask your bridesmaids/groomsmen to be involved in your special day that must mean you are engaged…congratulations! We have put together a list of 5 ideas we think are great ways to ‘pop the question’.
1. A Thoughtful Card
You could send a card in the mail or deliver it in person. This is a great chance to take some time to write down how much it would mean to you for them to be your bridesmaid. We love these beautiful ones below from Rifle Paper Co. but also found some great options in the Petal and Paperie Shop (there are also cards for groomsmen!).
2. Custom Bottle of Wine
Give them a personalized bottle of wine or champagne – if you are anything like me and my girlfriends we have spent endless evenings visiting over a bottle of wine, so why not incorporate that into your ask? There are many great options of wine labels out there including the one below from Label with Love. There are also many free printables around the web, including a beautiful one from Mariée Ami. You could also apply this idea to a nice bottle of bourbon or scotch for the groomsmen, or for the lady in your life that isn’t a wine drinker.
3. A Nice Dinner
Invite your girls over for dinner one night and add a little note on each of their cocktail glasses. It is sweet, simple and to the point. The Perfect Palette put together a gorgeous shoot to help inspire this ask.
4. A ‘Bridesmaids Box’
This idea has continued to grow in popularity. Put together a cute little box or gift bag full of fun little items and details pertaining to your wedding. Swatches of your colour scheme, mini champagnes, a handwritten card, and little gifts such as tote bags, notebooks, sweets, etc. are just some of the ideas of what could be included. Not So Cli-Shéa has all of the details to put together a box like the one below.
5. Push-up Confetti Poppers
How much fun are these?! A fun and easy way to get you and your bridesmaids shouting and laughing and celebrating in style. Relish Print Design created these beautiful (and inexpensive) poppers that also include a personal message inside.
