A Saskatoon Wedding Fashion Collaboration

“Instead of trashing the dress, restyle the dress!” – Molly Lux

This styled photo-shoot was dreamt up by a group of talented wedding professionals from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. With the prairie winter upon us, we couldn’t have picked a colder day to convince our models to rock their wedding dresses bare-armed. We had to put together a video to show the craziness behind the incredible photos.

Even though most weddings are planned around the summer, many brides don’t let winter stop them. In the middle of Canada where winter reigns half the year, brides can have the most beautiful images possible, with a little creativity.

And these amazing photos are only possibly because of collaboration with some awesome people – Check them out!

OBJECTIVE
To be inspired and learn from some of the best wedding designers in the industry.

CHALLENGE
The only challenge was trying to get as much information from the two-day workshop as possible!

OUTCOME
I was so fortunate to have learned from Brian Green of F&G Weddings, Michelle Gainey from Lemiga Events and Lisa Zachery from Papered Wonders, Inc., among other vendors. They took extra time with me during my stay to take me to a great event, some high-end décor vendors and lunch to discuss my business and for me to ask questions one on one. I learned SO much about business and design that my mind is still buzzing from that weekend. I was so sad to leave that magical place of creativeness, but luckily, we still keep in touch and I continue to be inspired by their work.
